Allen Company

Alan Grossman, the founder and namesake of the Allen Company, has been in the plumbing supply business for his entire career, spanning over 50 years. Alan got his start as a Sales Representative, where he learned the business from his father, Leonard, also a Sales Rep. Alan began the Allen Company by becoming a distributor for waste products and plastic piping, taking on a plastic P-trap line, which has grown and evolved into today’s Allen Co. Alan has grown his business by keeping the customer’s interests in mind and taking care of his employees and reps. With his tenure in the business, Alan brings an unparalleled level of experience and knowledge to the Allen Company. When he’s not in the office, Alan is usually battling his son and grandson on the golf course, playing gin with his buddies, watching any and all Cleveland sports, and spending time with his favorite people: his kids and grandkids! He is a Cleveland native, graduating from Cleveland Heights High School and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Ben Grossman joined the Allen Company fresh out of college after graduating with a B.B.A in Finance from the University of Georgia. He is a third-generation member of the business, and is proudly following in his grandfather’s footsteps in the plumbing supply business. Ben loves working with our customers, and brings a unique contemporary perspective to the Allen Company. Ben likes to call himself a “student of the game” and is constantly trying to improve his knowledge and understanding in an ever-evolving business. He especially loves getting to work with his grandpa every day and learn from the best in the business. When he’s not in the office, Ben’s usually on the golf course, in the gym, watching the Dawgs on Saturdays, or at Cleveland Browns Stadium on Sundays cheering on his hometown team.
